2020 Virtual Gala to End Hunger

This year’s Gala to End Hunger to benefit Bread for the World, Bread for the World Institute, and the Alliance to End Hunger was unlike any other. Due to COVID-19, the Gala shifted from an in-person event in New York to exclusively online. The event has passed, but you can still watch the recording.

The event honored U.S. Rep. Nita Lowey from New York for her leadership in ending hunger and featured guest speaker Pulitzer Prize-winning historian Jon Meacham. Other speakers included Rev. Eugene Cho, president and CEO of Bread for the World; Anwar Khan, president of Islamic Relief USA; and Eric Mitchell, president of the Alliance to End Hunger.
