Health Care

The Senate's attempt to repeal the Affordable Care Act has failed, with 51 senators voting NO on a "skinny repeal" bill. Millions of Americans stood to lose Medicaid if this bill had passed.

Budget & Appropriations

The House will soon vote on a budget resolution that cuts SNAP by $150 billion, cuts Medicaid by $114 billion above the more than $800 billion already proposed in the American Health Care Act, and cuts refundable tax credits for low-income working families by $20 billion.

Trump Administration

The Trump administration has proposed significant budget cuts to programs for people who are poor, hungry, weak, sick, and vulnerable. This includes cuts to programs such as SNAP (formerly food stamps), Medicaid, and foreign assistance.
