Hunger Report 2017
Fragile Environments, Resilient Communities
The Sustainable Development Goals, adopted just over a year ago, set a goal of ending hunger – leaving no one behind in the process. This means that we cannot ignore the people and places that are hardest to reach. Some live in conflict-affected countries, some are struggling to adapt to dramatic climate change, and still others are impacted by poor governance.
The 2017 Hunger Report, Fragile Environments, Resilient Communities, focuses on fragile states and communities—places where one or all of these problems are leaving people furthest behind. The report examines how fragility is blocking progress toward ending hunger and recommends ways of moving forward.
