Good nutrition during the 1,000-day period from the beginning of a woman’s pregnancy to her child’s second birthday is critical to a child’s health and future well-being. To accelerate progress on nutrition, we must scale up what we know works: improved access to nutritious foods, vitamins and minerals, clean water and sanitation, promotion of breastfeeding, and treatment for severe malnutrition.
The bipartisan Global Nutrition Resolution (H.Res.189/S.Res.260) introduced by Reps. Roger Marshall and Jim McGovern, and Sens. Susan Collins and Chris Coons, recognizes the importance of continued U.S. leadership to accelerate global progress against maternal and child malnutrition.
Your letter urging your representative and senators to co-sponsor the resolutions will help build support for accelerating progress toward ending hunger.
Tip: Personalized emails have the most impact. Add a note explaining why hunger is important to you.
