Write to Congress. Help End Hunger. Bread for the World

Urge Congress to Advance Global Nutrition

We have the tools to move toward our goal of ending hunger. Good nutrition during the first 1,000 days, from the beginning of a woman’s pregnancy to her child’s second birthday, is critical to a child’s health and future well-being. To accelerate progress on nutrition, we must scale up what we know works: improved access to nutritious foods, vitamins and minerals, clean water and sanitation, promotion of breastfeeding, and treatment for severe malnutrition.

In the coming weeks, Sens. Susan Collins (R-Maine) and Chris Coons (D-Del) will introduce a senate resolution recognizing the importance of continued U.S. leadership to accelerate global progress against maternal and child malnutrition. Urge your senator to become an original cosponsor of the resolution, before its introduction, to help build support for accelerating progress toward ending hunger and malnutrition.
