In 2018, we raised our collective voice to ask Congress to invest in and protect key programs that help improve the lives of men, women, and children facing hunger and poverty in the United States and around the world. Congress and the Trump administration failed to agree on final 2019 spending bills, resulting in a partial government shutdown that lasted over a month. The government has re-opened under a three-week continuing resolution which will expire on Friday, Feb. 15.
The longer uncertainty continues around funding and the threat of a shutdown still looms, the greater the risk of increased hunger and hardship for those already struggling to put food on the table. Personalized messages to Congress will push legislators to make funding decisions that can jump start and accelerate progress against hunger.
Tip: Personalized emails have the most impact. Add a note explaining why hunger is important to you.
