Reforming our nation's criminal justice system is critical to ending hunger and poverty in the United States. Families are directly impacted when loved ones are incarcerated, especially if they are serving long prison sentences.
Last year, Congress passed, and the president signed into law the First Step Act. The bipartisan bill enacts reforms to our criminal justice system and reauthorized “Second Chance” grant programs. These grants help returning citizens have additional access to education and job training programs.
Your members of Congress need to hear from you that funding criminal justice reform must be a priority!
Tip: Personalized emails have the most impact. Add a note explaining why hunger is important to you.
