To offset growing U.S. hunger and poverty caused by the global pandemic, Congress last year improved key programs such as expanding the Child Tax Credit (CTC). That alone cut hunger by 30 percent in low-income households.
The House passed legislation in November to extend the expanded CTC and other vital child nutrition programs. However, the Senate failed to act and allowed the CTC expansion to expire.
Tell your members of Congress to make improvements to nutrition programs that reduce hunger.
